TCS series generators are designed to produce fresh water containing less than 5ppm of TDS, from sea water using waste heat from the main engine or auxiliary engine jacket cooling water.

Operation is based on a simple distillation principle Sea water is boiled at low temperature under vacuum to create vapour. This vapour passes through a monel demister, where any droplets of water containing solids are removed, thus only pure vapour will enter into the condenser sea cooled section.

The use of non-ferrous materials, ensures long life and high water quality.
